Better sleep is not created by a single technique.
It is created by addressing the factors preventing recovery.

Restorative Sleep Reset

A personalised program designed to help individuals overcome persistent sleep difficulties and improve recovery.

Many people struggling with sleep have already tried the obvious solutions.

They have experimented with sleep hygiene, supplements, relaxation techniques, mindfulness apps, bedtime routines and advice found online.

Yet despite their efforts, sleep often remains inconsistent, disrupted or unrefreshing.

The challenge is that sleep difficulties rarely have a single cause.

Anxiety, mental overload, stress, emotional activation, attentional strain, lifestyle factors, work demands and nervous system activation can all contribute to poor sleep and reduced recovery.

The Restorative Sleep Reset takes a broader and more personalised approach, helping individuals understand and address the factors contributing to their unique sleep challenges.

What Is The Restorative Sleep Reset?

The Restorative Sleep Reset is a structured and personalised programme designed to support individuals experiencing ongoing sleep difficulties, poor recovery and nervous system activation.

The programme begins with a comprehensive assessment and then develops an individualised plan based on the person’s circumstances, goals and contributing factors.

Rather than relying on generic sleep advice, the focus is on understanding what is maintaining the problem and creating practical strategies that support meaningful and sustainable improvement.

The aim is not simply to increase sleep quantity, but to improve overall recovery, resilience and day-to-day functioning.

Who May Benefit?

The Restorative Sleep Reset program may be helpful for individuals experiencing:

  • difficulty falling asleep
  • waking frequently during the night
  • early morning waking
  • racing thoughts at bedtime
  • restless or non-restorative sleep
  • chronic fatigue
  • burnout and exhaustion
  • stress-related sleep difficulties
  • anxiety-related sleep disruption
  • difficulty switching off after work
  • feeling tired despite adequate sleep opportunity
  • poor recovery from work, training or daily demands

Many people seeking sleep support are also experiencing anxiety, mental overload, performance pressure or prolonged stress.

What Makes This Different?

Many approaches to sleep focus almost exclusively on bedtime routines and sleep hygiene practices.

While these can be important, they often represent only part of the picture.

Sleep difficulties may also be influenced by:

  • anxiety and excessive worry
  • mental overload
  • work-related pressure
  • emotional activation
  • attentional difficulties
  • nervous system dysregulation
  • chronic stress
  • behavioural patterns
  • recovery habits
  • lifestyle demands

The Restorative Sleep Reset is designed to explore these broader influences and create a personalised pathway rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all solution.

What The Program Includes

The Restorative Sleep Reset is tailored to the individual and may include:

  • comprehensive sleep assessment
  • exploration of factors affecting sleep and recovery
  • identification of patterns maintaining sleep difficulties
  • personalised recommendations
  • practical sleep and recovery strategies
  • nervous system regulation approaches
  • anxiety and stress management strategies
  • behavioural and lifestyle interventions
  • ongoing support and refinement where appropriate

The specific focus will depend on the individual’s circumstances and goals.

“Sleep is not simply the absence of wakefulness.
It is the result of a system that feels safe enough to recover.”

How This Fits With My Current Work

My primary focus is supporting professionals and high-functioning individuals experiencing anxiety, mental overload, emotional dysregulation, attentional strain and performance-related pressure.

Sleep difficulties are often closely connected to these broader patterns.

For some individuals, anxiety and overthinking may be maintaining the problem.

For others, work demands, emotional activation, attentional difficulties or nervous system dysregulation may play a larger role.

The Restorative Sleep Reset provides a structured and personalised framework for understanding these influences and supporting meaningful improvement in both sleep and recovery.

FAQ’s

Who is this sleep support service best suited for?

This service is designed for adults experiencing ongoing non-respiratory sleep difficulties such as trouble falling asleep, frequent waking, early morning waking, restless sleep, or feeling mentally exhausted but unable to properly switch off. It is particularly well suited where sleep difficulties are connected to stress, anxiety, trauma histories, hypervigilance, overthinking, or neurodivergent processing styles.

How is this different from standard sleep hygiene or CBT-i?

Many people have already tried routines, reducing caffeine, limiting screens, or structured CBT-i strategies. While these can be helpful, they do not always address the deeper drivers of insomnia. My approach looks at the emotional, subconscious, and nervous system factors that keep the mind and body switched on, integrating hypnotherapy, parts work, regulation strategies, and sustainable behavioural supports.

Can this help if my sleep problems are linked to trauma or anxiety?

Yes. Sleep disturbance is often one of the most persistent symptoms of unresolved trauma, chronic anxiety, or prolonged stress. Where hypervigilance, intrusive thinking, or internal protective parts are involved, sleep can become difficult even when you are physically tired. This work can be integrated with trauma-focused therapy and IFS-informed work to help resolve those deeper maintaining patterns.

Do I need to stop my medication or current treatment?

No. This service is designed to complement your existing supports, not replace medical care. If you are using sleep medication, working with your GP, or receiving other psychological support, this process can sit alongside that safely. Any medication decisions should always remain with your prescribing doctor.

How many sessions does the Restorative Sleep Reset usually take?

Most clients benefit from a structured 6–8 session process, which allows enough time to understand the sleep pattern, identify deeper maintaining factors, regulate the nervous system, and install practical supports that fit your life. Some clients with trauma complexity or longstanding hyperarousal may benefit from additional sessions integrated with other therapy work.

Is this available online for clients outside Melbourne?

Yes. Sessions are provided online, which means this sleep support process is available for adults across Melbourne and throughout Australia. Online work is often highly effective for sleep issues because the strategies, regulation practices, and therapeutic work can be applied directly within your own home environment and evening routine.

Online Support Across Australia

Sessions are provided online and accessible across Australia.

Online work allows many professionals and high-performing individuals to access support privately, flexibly, and without the additional stress of travel or commuting.
