If You Have Questions…
Just Reach Out
Want to discuss what is going on for you and how I might be able to support you make some changes?
You Don’t Need More Guesswork. You Need Greater Understanding.
Many people spend months—or even years—trying different strategies to manage anxiety without ever gaining a clear understanding of what’s actually driving it.
At Stone Wellbeing, we believe lasting change begins with understanding.
The Stone Wellbeing Anxiety & Performance Assessment is designed to help you make sense of your experiences by exploring not just your symptoms, but the patterns, circumstances, and nervous system responses that may be contributing to them.
Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” we ask,
“What makes sense about what you’re experiencing?”
More Than an Intake Appointment
Unlike many first appointments that focus primarily on collecting information, this assessment is designed to help you understand what that information means.
Before we meet, you’ll complete a comprehensive pre-assessment package so we already have a detailed understanding of your history, current concerns, and goals.
This allows us to spend our time together exploring the bigger picture—identifying patterns, testing ideas, clarifying what’s important, and developing a shared understanding of what may be contributing to your difficulties.
This process is known as clinical formulation—bringing together the information you’ve provided into a meaningful understanding that can guide your next steps.
Before We Meet
Your assessment begins before your appointment.
You’ll receive access to a secure online pre-assessment package, including:
✔ Personal history
✔ Current concerns
✔ Medical and lifestyle information
✔ Goals for support
✔ Standardised clinical questionnaires
✔ Additional assessment measures where appropriate
Completing these beforehand allows us to spend less time collecting information and more time understanding what it means for you.
During Your Assessment
During our 90-minute appointment, we’ll work together to build a deeper understanding of your experiences.
Rather than simply reviewing your forms, we’ll explore:
- the patterns you’ve noticed over time
- what seems to trigger or maintain anxiety
- how stress affects your mind and body
- factors that may be influencing your performance, confidence, or wellbeing
- your strengths, resources, and resilience
- the questions that matter most to you
The conversation is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to your individual circumstances.
There are no right or wrong answers—only an opportunity to understand your experiences more clearly.
“The aim isn’t simply to explain your anxiety. It’s to help you understand why your mind and nervous system have responded the way they have — and what can help them move forward.”
What You’ll Leave With
By the end of the assessment, you’ll have a clearer understanding of your current situation and practical guidance for what comes next.
You’ll receive:
✔ A personalised clinical formulation
✔ A clearer understanding of the factors contributing to your difficulties
✔ Identification of important maintaining patterns

FAQ’s
Is this a therapy session?
No. The Stone Wellbeing Anxiety & Performance Assessment is a comprehensive assessment designed to understand your current difficulties and develop a personalised clinical formulation. While therapeutic conversations naturally occur, the primary purpose is to provide clarity, recommendations, and a clear pathway forward rather than begin treatment.
Will I receive a diagnosis?
Not necessarily. Many people benefit from a thorough understanding of the patterns contributing to their difficulties without requiring a formal diagnosis. If diagnostic considerations appear relevant, these will be discussed with you along with any recommendations for further assessment if appropriate.
Do I have to continue therapy with Stone Wellbeing afterwards?
No. There is no obligation to continue therapy after your assessment. Our goal is to provide you with a clear understanding of your situation and personalised recommendations, allowing you to make informed decisions about your next steps, whether with Stone Wellbeing or another suitable provider.
Is the assessment available online?
Yes. The assessment is conducted securely via Zoom, allowing clients throughout Australia to access the same comprehensive assessment experience from the comfort and privacy of their own home.
How do I prepare?
Before your appointment, you’ll receive a secure online intake and assessment package to complete at your own pace. Completing these forms thoroughly allows us to spend less time gathering information during the session and more time understanding what it means for you.
What happens after the assessment?
At the conclusion of the assessment, we’ll discuss our understanding of what may be contributing to your difficulties and provide personalised recommendations for moving forward. Where appropriate, this may include therapy with Stone Wellbeing, referral to another health professional, or other evidence-informed strategies tailored to your circumstances.
Gain Clarity. Move Forward With Confidence.
Understanding what’s happening is often the first and most important step towards meaningful change.
If you’re ready to make sense of your experiences and gain clear, personalised guidance for what comes next, we’d be pleased to support you through the Stone Wellbeing Anxiety & Performance Assessment.
